This intarsia project features a coyote at rest, overlooking the desert, cactus in the background. You could always combine adjoining pieces to reduce the piece count, not to mention the time and and difficulty. You could leave the background off, or trim the background at the bottom so that you can mount the project in an oval frame. Features: Full color photo included. A grey scale clipart photo also included. Overall the project will use 3/4 inch wood and a few pieces will use 1/4 inch thinner and thicker pieces. The pattern offers suggestions such as grain direction and taper sections. No written instructions are really needed. It is assumed a woodworker who crafts intarsia, already knows how to create them. Even if you have not done one before, its just like putting a puzzle together...only you are creating the puzzle pieces! Very easy to do! View the larger image slideshow (above) to see the actual printed pattern you will receive. Number of pieces in this project: 89 as shown. Skill Level: Intermediate.
