A tree seat is a good place to sit and rest while youre raking leaves, or while youre just admiring your lawn and home. The tree seat project uses standard sizes of pine or redwood, along with easy-to-find hardware like wood screws and nails. All of the cuts are basic, angular cuts or are just straight. You could probably build this entire project with a circular saw and hand-held jig saw if you had to -- its a project the beginner can tackle with patience and you old pros will have it done in no time at all. The plan is designed for a tree diameter of 14 inches, but its easy to make adjustments for larger trees by adding a uniform length to the center of all cross members. You can stain the project as pictured, or let it weather naturally.
