This Chippendale dresser/chest is two plans in one. Build both portions and put together, build both and use separately, or just build one piece. The upper chest has five large drawers plus two smaller drawers at the very top. The lower section of the chest is modeled after those made around 1750. The cabinetmakers who emigrated from England often gave a Chippendale appearance to their work as exemplified by the bracket feet. Make this chest of pine, cherry, walnut, or maple. All joinery is shown in actual size while curved workpieces are all in full size. You can measure and trace straight from the drawing. Also includes bill of materials/cutting list, detailed exploded diagram, and hardware requirements list.

Stackable Lawyers Bookcase Plan (Woodworking Plan) Reviews

Other Picture

Stackable Lawyers Bookcase Plan (Woodworking Plan) Feature

  • Size: 33-1/2" H x 35" L x 14-3/8" D
  • Two sizes are provided for by the plans.
Make a glass door bookcase to complete your home office. Doors swing up and slide in above the top of the books. Designed to be stackable in the same manner as the 19th century originals, they can be stacked 5 or more high. Bookcases can be used side by side with no gap between for an attractive library wall system. Two sizes are provided for by the plans. The shorter unit will accept 10" high books, while the larger unit will take books up to 12" high. This is a blueprint style plan which is heralded by beginners and experts alike as being a pleasure to work from because all parts are printed in full size. All joinery is shown in actual size and curved workpieces are all in full size. Therefore you can measure and trace straight from the drawing if necessary. A bill of materials doubles as an exact cutting list and there is a detailed exploded diagram. All hardware requirements are provided. NOTE: The exploded diagram is so detailed that project specific assembly instructions are not provided.
