You will need one four-foot by eight-foot sheet of veneer plywood for the back and door panels, a set of door and drawer pulls and standard cabinet hinges. A few boards of pine, maple or cherry for the side panels, shelves and door frames will give the cabinet an authentic colonial appearance. All necessary requirements are detailed in a shopping list which you can take to a local lumber yard or home center. The simple construction techniques and finishing instructions will guide even a first-time woodworker to impressive results. Because these mechanisms are ceramic, they will grind salt, pepper and spices. A bottom-mounted locking grind adjustment knob eliminates the need for an adjustment knob on top of the mill, and the snap-in fitting does not require the use of metal fasteners. This lack of restrictions opens up a whole new world of design possibilities for woodturners. Complete illustrated mounting instructions are included, both have a 25-year manufacturers warranty. This mechanism is manufactured for traditionally designed mills. However, as a result of the bottom-mounted locking grind adjustment knob, a metal adjustment knob at the top of the mill is not required. This gives you the freedom to create new and innovative stopper designs. This mechanism can be mounted using the built-in "catchers" or glued in place. The top is fixed into the stopper, which can be removed to refill the mill. Mill height can range from 5 to 12 inches.

The original Adirondack resort chair was designed strictly with comfort and the adult-size body in mind. This 3/4-scale version of the classic summertime chair is a good fit for children ages two to ten. And the solid design will take all the abuse your kids can deliver. Only a small amount of 3/4-inch thick lumber is required along with wood screws, glue, a hand saw, sandpaper, drill and screwdriver. Parts can be traced from the actual-size patterns to the lumber, cut out and assembled in an afternoon. View the slide show to see a sample of one of the templates.
