You can have this handsome hutch built in just a couple of weekends. You will need one four-foot by eight-foot sheet of veneer plywood for the back and door panels, a set of door and drawer pulls and standard cabinet hinges. A few boards of pine, maple or cherry for the side panels, shelves and door frames will give the cabinet an authentic colonial appearance. All necessary requirements are detailed in a shopping list which you can take to a local lumber yard or home center. The simple construction techniques and finishing instructions will guide even a first-time woodworker to impressive results.
