Rob Cosman has been woodworking for most of his life. While earning a B.Sc. in Industrial Technology/Furniture Design at Brigham Young University, he was Dr. Dale L. Nishs teaching assistant. Rob has also worked with many of the worlds best craftsmen including Alan Peters, Sam Maloof, Tage Frid, Monroe Robinson and Peter Korn. Using a combination of hand and power tools, Rob walks you through the building processes using precision and speed. Emphasis is placed on constructing the concealed wood hinge with options shown on completing the most difficult tasks. This 1 hour, 40 minute DVD includes tips for accurate stock preparation, shooting boards and planing jigs, step-by-step construction of the wood hinge, tips for proper assembly and gluing, finishing options, and plenty of instruction on jigs. The key to making Robs wooden hinge boxes is creating the wooden hinge. Using this jig and a 3/8" chuck drill, you will create perfect wooden hinges every time. The jig centers the dowel before it engages the 1/16" bit, resulting in a perfectly centered hole.
